Closing boxes is probably one of the most well known hot melt applications. Many wrap around and american folding boxes are closes with hot melts. With a compression time of around 1 second most boxes are closed. The versatility of the applications is very large. Almost all products that are made in large series are being packed in carton boxes and closed with hot-melts, e.g.:

• Many products in the super market
• Ink cartridges
• Many food packages (all carton boxes in the stores)

• Lage kosten per verpakking
• Easy changing formats of packages on machinery
• Deep freeze and heat resistance
• More easily opened package by end user
