Book binding adhesives
Within the bookbinding industrie we know 2 major applications:
- Binding pages together, spine glueing
- Finish the book on the inside and looks outside, with side glueing
Spine Glueing
Spine glueing is done by a very many different machines (brands and types). A well know producer of these machines is for e.g. Müller Martini. Every machine can have it's own specific requirements. Our product range consists of several hundreds recipes of adhesives, the most succesfull are:
- HM 776, standard spine glue for most machine types
- PUR HM 135, Polyurethane hotmelt for specific publications, where a extremely tough bond or temperature resistance is required.
Glueing with polyurethane hot melts require even more knowledge than working with thermoplastic recipes. We have many practical experience with these applications.
Side glueing
Side glueing hot melts does require a long open time or even pressure sensitive hotmelt.
